Cookie consent
This site uses Klaro, an open-source consent management tool, to ask for your permission before loading any non-essential cookies. No analytics cookies are set until you actively accept them via the consent banner shown on your first visit — declining is just as easy as accepting, and nothing is tracked by default. The consent cookie itself is strictly necessary to remember your choice (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); analytics cookies are only stored with your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG). Because analytics only run with your consent, we do not need to act on Do Not Track browser signals; your choice in "Cookie Settings" is what counts.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page.
Cookies and analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, this site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized statistics about how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This helps us understand what content is useful.
- klaro — stores your cookie consent choice. Essential, set regardless of consent. Expires after 365 days.
- _ga, _ga_* — set by Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies. Used to distinguish visitors and sessions. Expires after up to 2 years.
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited and may involve transfer of data to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework / standard contractual clauses. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer, which also deletes the associated cookies going forward.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing that is based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) at any time. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@3ivis.com; we answer within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State where you live or work. The authority responsible for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany (datenschutz-berlin.de).
Purposes and legal bases
- Serving this website — your IP address and request details are processed by the hosting provider (GitHub Pages) to deliver pages and keep them secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Web search and page fetches in the browser version — the proxy handles your request to deliver the result, and reads your IP address to limit abuse. Legal basis: performing the function you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Update check in the terminal version — a plain request so you can learn about new versions. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping users on a current, secure version (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can turn it off.
- Analytics — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
Giving us your data is not required by law or contract. Without the technical data above, however, a web page or the proxy cannot be delivered to you.
The Aielia app
Aielia has no account and no 3IVIS-run backend that your conversations with the model pass through. When you use the app — in the browser at /chat or /write, via the CLI, or as a desktop app — your messages go directly from your device to the model provider you configure (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter, using a key you supply). That exchange is governed by your chosen provider's own terms and privacy policy, not this one — 3IVIS does not see, receive, or store the content of your conversations. We therefore do not use your conversations to train models.
In the browser version (/chat and /write), web search and page fetches go through a small proxy run by 3IVIS (a Cloudflare Worker), because a browser cannot fetch most pages itself. That proxy sees the address of each page it fetches and the text of each search query (the search uses your own Brave key if you add one; the key is sent with each search, used for that request only, and not stored or logged), and it passes them on. It logs only the time, route, host and status, not the query or page text. The proxy reads your IP address only to limit how many requests one visitor can make per hour; it keeps that count in memory and does not write the address to its logs. Cloudflare, which runs the proxy, processes the request, including your IP address, under its own terms. Your messages to the model never go through it. The desktop and terminal versions fetch pages directly from your device. You can point the browser builds at a proxy of your own in Settings.
Memory the assistant builds up about you (facts it learns across turns) is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB or in your local filesystem when run via the CLI/desktop app — not on a 3IVIS server. Clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the CLI/desktop app removes it. If you enable an optional integration that talks to another third-party service (for example, sending an email on your behalf), that exchange is between your device and that third party under its own terms.
The terminal version of Aielia checks for a newer release when you open it in an interactive terminal, at most once a day. It requests aielia-latest.json from this site (and, if that fails, the public release list on GitHub). Like any request to a web server, this makes your IP address visible to the server operator and to GitHub, which hosts this site (the domain's DNS is handled by Cloudflare); the request carries no identifier, account or conversation content, and we do not use it to profile you. You can turn the check off with ASSISTANT_UPDATE_CHECK=disabled or /config set updateCheck disabled. Installing with install.sh or install.ps1, or running aielia update, requests the same file and then downloads the program from GitHub.
Recipients and transfers outside the EU
Besides you, your data can reach: GitHub (Microsoft), which hosts this site; Cloudflare, which handles the domain's DNS and runs the web proxy; Google, only if you accept analytics cookies; Brave, if you use web search with your own Brave key; and the model provider you choose. These providers may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or on standard contractual clauses, as offered by the respective provider. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We do not hold your conversations, files or memory; they stay on your device until you delete them. The consent cookie lasts 365 days and Google Analytics cookies up to 2 years (see above). The proxy keeps its per-visitor request counts in memory only and has no database.
Security
Connections to this site and the proxy use HTTPS. Your API key stays on your device: in your browser's storage in the browser version, and in the operating system's keychain in the desktop app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
No automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not profile you.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to contact@3ivis.com and we will delete it.
External links
This site links to other sites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change and show the date at the top. When a change matters for the apps, the terminal and desktop apps ask you to acknowledge the new version once, after you update to a release that includes it.
